Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, while talking to the media after the opposition meeting along with Leader of the Opposition Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas and others, said that the opposition has agreed to further advance the consultation process and a committee has been formed to resolve mutual differences. He said that they have represented the nation on emergency including Governor's rule and have talked about national trust, they are eyeing Gwadar to be brought under the federal government, and efforts are being made to bring the islands of Sindh including the Coastal Belt under the federal government. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that we opposed FATA integration, now a game of resources is being played, FATA integration was also his great blessing, now its dissolution is also a blessing.

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Mahmood Khan Achakzai said that today we came to meet Maulana Fazlur Rehman and the purpose of this meeting is to form an alliance through which the parliament can be strengthened. He said that we condemn the character assassination of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, we stand with Maulana Fazlur Rehman and strongly condemn his character assassination. Mahmood Khan Achakzai said that a committee has been formed regarding APC and a meeting will be held this month. A committee has been formed between Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to reach a consensus, an alliance has been formed across Pakistan and we will resist unanimously.
